Donnovan's Concert

The Concert

Donnovan had his 5th grade concert last night. I have to say I rather enjoyed it. I think he did a really good job and sounded really good. He told me last night that he wants to play next year as well. When you listen to this you have to remember this is the first year for these kids. There was 3 elementary schools that were playing and they only had an hour of practice together.

WOW! Ben looks sharp with his new glasses :) I can Donnovan in him.
Glad Stephanie knows all about geography. You should point out 'B suri' on the map. Gotta love it!

Mom this one's for you...

We were in the car earlier and Nene was talking about where her grandma's are. She was talking about the one in B suri and she said "she likes me a lot" I thought it was so sweet. Then Donnovan read a letter from grandma and grandma mentioned to Nene that she needed to say Hi to the gecko's and Nene said "but they are nice and they like to look at me but they don't want to be in B suri", she is so serious about things sometimes. She loves her grandma in B suri and likes it when she calls and sends letters. Keep up the good work, mom!

Ben's Glasses

Again...

He is gone AGAIN!!!! Hopefully this week will be calmer and we will find a house. Keep us in your prayers that we get something this week so we can move next week. And also about this summer. I am trying to work something out with Marshall so.... Mom I am glad you got your van back and it is fixed and better then ever. Hope everyone is having a good monday!

Pricilla's home

She's back home in the garage where she belongs! The car place even fixed the bump on the back door. Picked up the van on Friday and must say dad and I were impressed with the quality of work that was done on the van. I have an appt. to get the safety and emissions tests done tomorrow and will go get new plates while I'm at it. Then old Prissy will really be styling.

Sorry to hear about the bump and bruises, but it's FUNNY just the same! (some day I might not think so...)
The Easter pictures look good. Where did you go to get them done? Stephanie is on her way to being a heartbreaker, isn't she- acting all cute and innocent. Live it up!

While dad is gone the kids will get hurt...

OK so he was running around after scouts waiting for his ride, he was told under no circumstances that he is allowed to run around the building, it is still the church building whether it is Sunday or not, well he was running or rather being chased and he tripped and feel into the metal doors in the gym. Cut his head and I guess was bleeding really bad. He came home and the mom (Melissa, thanks) that took him and came in to tell me the real truth as to what happened. Donnovan always forgets a few parts, like the ones that he is involved in. So I looked at it and had him take a shower so it could clean up a bit. So he came out and his head was still bleeding, I am trying to decide what to do. I decided to put him to bed (he was so tried and didn't want to go to the ER because they would have to give him a shot in his head to numb it)it is amazing to me how fast the hurt disappears when faced with something like that. I was up till about 1am to keep checking on him. He woke up this morning with a bit of a headache but I am sure with a little Tylenol he will heal nicely. He tried to tell me that he could just stay home since all he would be doing at school is just sitting there listening to people talk about careers. Nice try son!

Then earlier in the day we outside cleaning up the backyard and I told them if they hurried we could go take showers and then watch a movie. BIG MISTAKE!! Ben was hurrying and face planted into the concrete. So I rush him inside and wash his mouth out. He kept telling me, "Mommy it's bleeding" so he has a little rash on the outside of his upper lip. The only one (knock on wood) that hasn't gotten hurt yet is Nene. We still have to get through today yet.

John Gone

John is gone again. He left this morning and won't be back till late friday, then he leaves again on monday. Ben surprisingly has been the one that is having the most trouble with this. When John got home late last friday, Ben just clung to him all weekend. Kind of nice for me though. Then today as we were taking John to work he (Ben) just cried and cried and wanted to go with daddy to work. Hopefully this week Ben will behave better. I don't remember misbehaving while dad was gone.

Pricilla is gonna live. Dad had her towed to a more reputable shop and they said the work can be done with no problem!! YEA!! Will take several days to make her better, but I can wait. Whew! Really didn't want a different vehicle.

Tuesday

Day 2 without John and Ben is going crazy. I think he is going thru some sort of seperation anxiety. He better sleep it off tonight and be better tomorrow. While we were at the grocery store tonight he decides to throw his cup at an oncoming car!!! Then he laughed. Of course I couldn't do anything since the people in the car were watching but as soon as they drove past I smacked his hand and told him not to do it again. He laughed at me.
Donnovan took the math part of his TAKS test today and got done WAAAAAAY before anyone else and of course they made fun of him again. He told us last week finally why he doesn't like to go to school. He says the kids make fun of him cause he is smart and then they call him a jerk. I asked him why they did that and he told me it is because he is better than them. I had to count to ten before I carried on. I told him with that attitude he would have no friends and they would call him that. So we talked about how to not raise his hand for EVERY answer and see if he could help those around him. I also told him under any circumstances is he better than anyone else. None of are. We may be better at something but never as a whole. I am thinking I don't like this growing up stuff.

Poor Pricilla

Poor Prissy the van has been declared 'totaled'. Several options are available and we are looking into each. I get to keep the rental til the 15th, which is a relief to Seth as I told him we would be sharing the jeep-----------not!!!!! Will let you all know if Prissy will be salvaged or if I'll be pimped out in a new red, hard-topped 2009 Jeep Wrangler. toodles--------Mom

i had a long post telling of all my wild adventures and tales but when i went to publish it, it said someone else was trying to do the same thing and i didnt save it so i feel sorry for all of you you dont get to read my awesome blog entry, just this semi awesome one.

i want my picture on the followers list. I want cinnomon rolls as well! I just got done running five miles today half of which were on the beach. It was good. I need to start wearing my head band so i dont get the salty sweat in my eyes anymore it burns. School was canceled after lunch due to the heavy rain and tornado advisary. so i worked out in my room with my weighted vest i got the other day. Been doing lots of push ups and pull ups with it on. Not easy by any means but i need to get myself prepared for ground school. If you havent heard i have decided to persue the ground route in my "Intelligence Specialist" career. I would be going out with the seals and i would be attatched to a seal team and would do everything they do. I am really excited for the adventure i am partaking in and as well as the training i will be getting into!

Blow Thingy

The other day John and I couldn't find Ben. He has a habit of hiding in our bedroom closet and getting into things. So we have learned to put anything of value up. (and yes that includes the potty paper) Well we found him in the closet the other day unwrapping tampons!!! We didn't laugh cause he was very serious about opening it. We did ask him what he was doing and his reply was "look at me" What he did was take the tampon apart and was then blowing on it and making the other part shoot across the room. Zach I know you are laughing right now and you are probably thinking that you wish you had one to try it. Mom keep an eye on your tampons next time Zach is there!!
